The CNC system is responsible for precisely controlling the movements of the machine's components, managing the following axes:
X-axis: transverse feed movement of the grinding wheel
Y-axis: longitudinal movement of the grinding wheel
Z-axis: up and down feed movement of the grinding wheel
C-axis: workpiece rotation axis
B-axis: optional, controls the tilting angle of the grinding wheel head.
For example, a straight toothed cylindrical gear with a large module and a small number of teeth needs to be machined.
First, the profile of the grinding wheel is altered to match the gear design specifications exactly, this ensures that the profile of the grinding wheel is identical to the tooth profile of the gear.
Before machining, a precise system that clips the gear in place ensures that it is positioned correctly. During the grinding process, the feed rates of the grinding wheel in the axial and radial directions are regulated by the CNC system, a highly efficient cooling system is employed to regulate the heat.
After the process of machining is complete, the on-machine inspection function is employed to assess the accuracy of the tooth profile and the quality of the tooth surface in order to ensure that the product meets the design requirements. During the process, the status of the grinding wheel is closely observed, and appropriate dressing is performed in order to maintain the quality of the machining process.
The 300mm CNC straight/ Helical Profile Gear Grinding Machine is intended for the grinding of high-precision, special tooth configurations or gears with a large modulus of elasticity or a small number of teeth. The dresser enjoys a patented 3-axis design that takes into account 3 different coordinate systems (X, Y, Z) to accurately replicate the design of a grinding wheel's teeth with a high degree of complexity, this ensures that the gear grinding machine is capable of accurately reproducing the designed tooth shape of gears. The crafted object is positioned on the table of the machine and is held in place by exact instruments. The table facilitates rotary motion, which ensures that each tooth is accurately ground.
