G400 Gear Hobbing Machine Successfully Passes Acceptance by Dutch Client: A Balance of Technical Strength and Service Excellence
Recently, our company had the honor of hosting a special overseas guest—a representative from a high-end gear manufacturing company in the Netherlands. The purpose of their visit was to conduct an on-site acceptance inspection of our newly developed G400 CNC gear hobbing machine. This inspection not only served as a key performance evaluation but also marked an important opportunity for cooperation as we expand into the international market.
At the start of the project, the client presented a series of customized requirements, particularly regarding the tailstock structure of the gear hobbing machine. To facilitate the handling of large workpieces, we specially designed a rotating open-close tailstock for them. This innovative design greatly improved ease of operation, significantly enhanced production efficiency and safety, and was highly praised by the client.
During the inspection, we first showcased this customized tailstock, explaining its working principle and usage in detail. The client was very satisfied and noted that this design demonstrated our strong capabilities in optimizing gear hobbing machine structures.
We then proceeded with a live cutting demonstration using a typical shaft workpiece, aimed at showcasing the G400’s stability and efficiency in standard applications. The entire cutting process was smooth and precise, with excellent surface finish, fully meeting the client’s expectations.
Following the cutting test, our technical team immediately conducted precision measurements and provided a complete inspection report. The report showed that all parameters exceeded industry standards and fully met the client’s technical requirements. The client highly praised our quality control system.
To further build confidence, we demonstrated the machine’s core features one by one, including:
User Interface: Equipped with Siemens 828D CNC system, the interface is user-friendly, easy to operate, and supports multi-language switching—ideal for international users.
Machine Bed Structure: Made from high-rigidity cast iron, offering excellent vibration resistance and thermal stability, ensuring precision over long operating periods.
Axis Operations:
A-axis: Allows ±45° swing for machining large-helix-angle helical gears.
B-axis: Driven by a direct-drive motor, delivering strong torque for high-speed, efficient cutting.
Y-axis: Uses a servo motor with precision gear transmission to ensure tool positioning accuracy and extend tool life.
C-axis: Directly driven by a high-precision, high-torque motor for accurate indexing and powerful cutting.
These advanced configurations not only improve overall machine performance but also provide solid support for the client’s future mass production needs.
During the visit, we also introduced several optional smart features of the G400 gear hobbing machine:
Tool Monitoring System: This system monitors the condition of the cutting tool in real time, offering alerts, analysis, and automatic shutdown in abnormal situations to prevent tool damage and enhance safety and reliability.
Automated Loading and Unloading System: Greatly reduces manual intervention, boosts production efficiency, and lowers labor costs—especially beneficial for medium to large batch production scenarios.
The client showed strong interest in these smart upgrades, noting that they would greatly improve flexibility and automation levels in their future production lines.
The G400 gear hobbing machine can process gear modules up to 10, with a maximum workpiece diameter of 400 mm. This wide range makes it suitable for machining various gear sizes from small to medium-large modules. Thanks to its powerful drive system and high-precision transmission components, the G400 offers 3 to 5 times the efficiency and accuracy of traditional mechanical gear hobbing machines—making it an excellent choice for modern gear manufacturing.
As a company with extensive experience purchasing top-tier European machine tools, the client candidly pointed out a few areas where our machine still lags slightly behind European models—such as ergonomic design, protective enclosure layout, and electrical wiring standards.
We took the feedback very seriously and held in-depth technical discussions with the client. Every suggestion was carefully documented, and we proposed feasible improvement plans tailored to our manufacturing processes. This hands-on exchange benefited both sides and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
Beyond technical matters, we arranged meaningful cultural experiences for the client. They visited the famous “Spring Festival Gala Stage” in Wuxi and enjoyed the charm of traditional Chinese culture. We also introduced them to Wuxi’s signature snack—soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), which they found both exquisite and delicious.
These informal cultural interactions helped foster a closer relationship and gave the client deeper insight into our business practices and company culture, strengthening mutual trust and willingness to collaborate.
The successful acceptance of the G400 gear hobbing machine marks a new milestone in our journey toward high-end gear processing equipment. The client’s recognition is not only a strong endorsement of our product quality and technical strength but also a motivation to keep improving our services.
